Vegetarian Tandoori Kebabs

Ingredients for the tandoori marinade OR simply purchase our own branded tandoori paste

1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
a pinch of smoked chilli flakes
a pinch of kashmiri chilli powder (adds colour)
1/4 tsp of kasuri methi
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup thick yogurt
1 tsp gram flour
an inch piece of grated ginger
2 cloves of grated garlic
a few mint leaves, finely chopped
salt to taste
1 tsp of oil

Main Ingredients (Your Choice of Vegetables for the Kebab)

1 potato, boiled and cut into cubes
1 courgette (zucchini), diced
1/2 cup purple yam, boiled and cut into cubes
1 red pepper (capsicum), diced
1 green pepper (capsicum), diced
2 onions, diced
a few button mushrooms

Ingredients for seasoning

2 teaspoons lemon juice
chat masala


Chop all the vegetables into large chunks and let marinate for 2-3 hours.

To cook, place on a drip tray and grill till light brown, or Tandoor for 5-10 minutes.

Perfect with some pesawari naan breads, mint chutney and dhal.
