How it works
How does the TandooriQ oven work

The outside of the TandooriQ is stainless steel and houses a clay pot inside.
The TandooriQ is fired using charcoal which heats up the clay to a very high temperature well over 400c, making it much hotter than a conventional oven.
The method of cooking is by placing food on a skewer then inserting it vertically into the oven.
The food is cooked very quickly by the the radient heat from the clay. The skewers take the heat from the charcoal and transfer the heat through to the center of the meat.
This method of cooking instantly seals all the flavours and juices into the meat which gives it that unmistakable tandoori taste.
